Description:
Responsibillities
- Employ strategic sourcing skills for MRO, service, and chemical procurement in a petrochemical plant environment.
- Identify and execute cost-effective and efficient procurement strategies using a variety of methods and tools.
- Manage the entire procurement cycle, including vendor selection, meetings, quotation requests, clarification, evaluation, negotiation, awarding contracts, issuing purchase orders, expediting delivery, monitoring vendor performance, and overseeing invoicing — with a strong focus on auxiliary chemical-related compliance and performance.
- Handle chemical imports in compliance with HS codes, local regulations, and permit requirements (e.g., BPOM, B3, etc.).
- Analyze vendor proposals to ensure accuracy of auxiliary chemical specifications, including purity, packaging standards, and SDS compliance.
- Negotiate terms (price, discounts, and delivery) to optimize quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale (QCDSM).
- Process Purchase Requisitions (PR), convert them into Purchase Orders (PO) via the ERP system, and confirm vendor PO acceptance.
- Conduct Vendor Performance Evaluations (VPE), particularly for auxiliary chemical vendors, ensuring safety, compliance, and delivery performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Max. 2 years of procurement experience in a global multinational company
- Fresh Graduates from reputable universities are encouraged to apply
- Proficient in procurement strategies, especially for MRO, service, and chemical procurement in a petrochemical setting
- Experience with SAP (ERP) and E-Procurement systems
- Understanding of logistics related to importing goods
- Proficiency in English; Korean language skills are a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic knowledge of the petrochemical industry
- Effective communication skills
