Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of instrumentation and control equipment.
  • Support preparation of instrument data sheets, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
  • Participate in instrument calibration and configuration activities (pressure, temperature, level, flow instruments).
  • Assist in DCS/PLC/SCADA system troubleshooting and loop checking.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report abnormal conditions to senior engineers.
  • Support senior engineers during shutdowns/turnarounds, upgrades, and modification projects.
  • Assist with preparing material requisitions, technical evaluations, and documentation.
  • Follow all HSE policies, including PTW (Permit to Work), LOTO, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure instrumentation work complies with industry standards (ISA, IEC, NEC/ATEX).
  • Report unsafe conditions and actively participate in toolbox talks.
  • Assist in updating instrument drawings, data sheets, and documentation.
  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for the Instrument Engineer/Supervisor.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report abnormal conditions to senior engineers.

 

Job Requirement

  • Min. Bachelor Degree (S1) in Engineering physics / Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation / Automation / Metrology / Mechatronics, required from reputable University.
  • Fresh Graduate or max. 2 years hands-on instrumentation and control in Petrochemical, oil & gas, power, manufacturing, mining
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc), maintenance various email and internet programs and applications, and other software and databases generally seen in a plant environment.
  • Have good understanding for instrumentation (i.e. transmitters, switches, control valves), Calibration tools (i.e. HART Communicator), PLC/DCS fundamentals, Engineering Drawing (i.e. P&ID, Loop diagrams, hook-up drawing) is preferable
  • Certified TUV FS Engineer will be an advantage.
  • Good communication, integrity, initiatives, and team work ability.
  • Have motivation to learn and willing to work under pressure.
  • Willing to work shifts and overtime.
  • Willing to be located in Merak Plant (Cilegon).
