Maintenance Civil Engineer

 Job Description :

• Create maintenance schedules and generate work orders
• Conduct regular inspections of structural and civil assets (foundations, buildings, drainage, roads, tanks).
• Prepare detailed technical reports highlighting conditions, required actions, and recommendations for civil structures.
• Design and review repair methods or modifications, ensuring compliance with SNI standards and engineering best practices.
• Supervise and manage contractors executing civil works, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to schedules.
• Collaborate with planning and procurement teams to define material specifications and support vendor selection.
• Provide engineering support for emergency repairs to restore safe operations quickly.
• Participate in project planning and feasibility studies for new construction or modification works.
• Ensure sustainability and environmental compliance in civil maintenance activities.Calculate and prepare resouced requirements (labor and spare parts) for maintenance and project activites
• Maintain records and files essential to maintenance management
• Coordinate with maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors
• Serve as a liaison between maintenance and operations
• Develop comprehensive maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, corrective) based on equipment reliability data and operational needs.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantity (BOQ), scopes of work, and cost estimates for maintenance projects and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, ISO standards, and government regulations in maintenance planning.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and promoting knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and operations teams to synchronize planning with material and resource availability.
• Manage work orders, documentation, and assets within the SAP computerized maintenance management system (SAP - CMMS)
• Create procedural manuals that explain tasks list in the work orders
• Coordinate other department (team) regarding permit to work, maintenance activities and shutdown plan
• Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
• Ensure proper documentation, recording, and reporting of all maintenance processes according to the established procedures
• Perform other tasks as directed by a superior

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with min. 3-5 years experiences background in Petrochemical/ Chemical plant/ Oil & Gas Plant/ Power Plant industry
• Knowledge of structural design, concrete, steel, and foundation works.
• Understanding of engineering document such as PID, PFD, Isometric Drawing, GA drawing, etc.
• Familiar with SAP CMMS, MRP systems and planning tools (Ms. Project, Primavera P6, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Ms. Excel and Ms. Power point
• Proficient in AutoCAD and civil engineering software.
• Good communication and project management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Willing to be placed in Merak Plant (Cilegon)
