Monomer Lab Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and improve analysis methods to achieve high accuracy and precision.
• Conduct method validation and troubleshooting when analysis issues occur.
• Ensure all analytical methods comply with Quality Management standards.
• Monitor usage of chemicals, consumables and spare parts to ensure sufficient inventory.
• Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR) for chemicals, consumables, and spare parts needed for laboratory operations.
• Coordinate with Production, Offsite (OS) and Commercial division for raw material analysis before unloading and product analysis before loading (ship/lorry).
• Lead or participate in QHSE-related programs such as hazard identification, safety meetings, and audits as per HSE Regulation.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Preparing technical report, monthly and yearly report in relation to special project, analysis method development and monthly data which will be share to related section or internal section requirement.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards, ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management) ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management).
• Implement relevant procedures and maintain required documentation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering / Chemical / Relevant Major from reputable university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Chemical/Petrochemical, Oil & Gas or relevant industries.
• Understanding of OHS and environmental compliance in a chemical processing environment.
• Understanding and application of ISO 9001 requirements to ensure compliance with quality management systems and continuous improvement.
• Ability to identify issues, analyze options, and make effective decisions to achieve work objectives
• Demonstrate competency in operating, optimizing, troubleshooting, and interpreting analytical results using GC (FID, TCD, SCD, and MS detectors), AAS, ICP, Hg Analyzer, Total Sulfur Analyzer, Density Meter, Auto Distillation, and Karl Fischer instruments.
• Fluent in English (Both spoken and written)
• Willing to be placed in Cilegon.
