JOB DESCRIPTION :
1. Rotating Equipment Maintenance Strategy
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, blowers, turbines, agitators, gearboxes, etc.).
- Monitor and evaluate equipment performance to prevent failures and unplanned downtime.
- Ensure equipment is maintained according to OEM recommendations, internal standards, and safety regulations.
2. Troubleshooting & Technical Support
- Lead complex troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis (RCA) of rotating machinery failures.
- Provide technical guidance to technicians and junior engineers in diagnosing mechanical problems.
- Liaise with OEMs and vendors for technical support and recommendations.
3. Turnaround & Major Overhauls
- Plan and execute overhaul activities during turnarounds or planned shutdowns.
- Define scope, resources, spare parts, procedures, and QA/QC checks.
- Supervise critical path equipment restoration, testing, and commissioning.
4. Asset Reliability & Performance Monitoring
- Analyze vibration, temperature, alignment, and oil analysis data to assess equipment condition.
- Support reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), FMEA, and improvement projects to reduce failures and maintenance costs.
- Evaluate and implement reliability improvement initiatives and modernization opportunities.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure all maintenance work, equipment history, and failure reports are updated in CMMS (e.g., SAP).
- Prepare periodic reports on equipment reliability, maintenance KPIs, and performance gaps.
- Review and update maintenance procedures, standards, and drawings.
6. People & Contractor Management
- Supervise and mentor junior rotating engineers and technicians.
- Review contractor performance for maintenance and turnaround execution.
- Conduct technical training and skill assessments for field personnel.
7. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Lotte Chemical’s safety standards and Indonesian regulatory requirements.
- Apply Permit to Work, LOTO, confined space entry, and hot work procedures consistently
Job Requirements
- Min. D4 / Bachelor Degree (Mechanical Engineering or equivalent) required from reputable University.
- At least 10 years’ operation experience as Engineer in Oil & Gas, Power plant, Petrochemical & Chemical Industries
- Hands-on experience with API pumps, steam turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, gearboxes, and seals (additional experiences handling Extruder will be advantageous)
- Strong understanding of rotating equipment design, operation, and failure mechanisms.
- Proficient in vibration analysis, laser alignment, balancing, and oil analysis interpretation.
- Familiar with international codes and standards (API 610, 617, 618, 686, etc.).
- Excellent communication (Bahasa and English) and interpersonal skills.
- Background for environment of petrochemical plant.
- Good computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)
- Willing to be located in Merak Plant (Cilegon)
