Static Piping Technician (Fresh Graduate)

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Participate in maintenance activities tasks under supervision.
• Assist in inspection, cleaning, repair, and installation of static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, piping, valves, and fittings).
• Support leak detection, tightening, gasket replacement, and other basic repair activities.
• Assist in shutdown and turnaround work preparations and execution.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment as instructed.
• Support material preparation, parts identification, and proper storage of tools and components.
• Report defective tools or equipment to supervisors for repair or replacement.
• Follow work permits, job safety analyses (JSAs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, mechanical codes, and environmental regulations
• Actively learn from senior technicians and engineers on maintenance techniques, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety drills, and technical training programs.
• Develop skills in reading mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
• Initiate ideas to reduce maintenance cost.
• Respond to emergency situations if required 

Job Requirements

• Fresh Graduate with minimum Diploma 3 in Mechanical Engineering from reputable university
• Candidates with maximum 2 years experiences in Oil & Gas, Power Plant, Petrochemical and Chemical Industries are welcome to apply
• Knowledge of Basic drawing, such as Isometric (3D), projection (2D), Assembly/ Part drawing principles, method, techniques, tools used in repair of static and piping equipment
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc)
• Willing to be placed in Merak Plant (Cilegon)
