JOB DESCRIPTION : 

 

  • Lead and oversee maintenance and turnaround/ shutdown activities for static equipment and piping systems
  • Review and approve maintenance procedures, method statements, and permits to work
  • Supervise maintenance execution: inspections, tests, welding repairs, NDT, pressure tests
  • Identify deviations from specifications or procedures and drive corrective actions
  • Coordinate with operations, safety, and inspection teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize maintenance tasks using SAP and AVEVA
  • Prepare and issue work orders, maintenance requests, and close-out reports
  • Track spare parts inventory, raise purchase requisitions, and follow up on material deliveries
  • Manage and audit subcontractor performance
  • Review and validate subcontractor invoices and cost reports
  • Interface with vendor representatives for technical support and verifications
  • Analyze equipment failure data; propose and implement reliability and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Maintain the maintenance records and KPIs in the system
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns or equipment trips as required
  • Mentor and train junior engineers/technicians on maintenance best practices

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required. Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum 5~10 years of hands-on maintenance experience in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, or Power Plant environments
  • Proven track record in both routine and turnaround/shutdown maintenance of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Tanks, Boilers, Columns, Fired Heaters, and Process Piping
  • Strong familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to read and interpret static equipment and piping drawings (Isometrics, GA, P&IDs)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for root-cause analysis
  • Good communication skills in English; Bahasa Indonesia is a plus
  • Willingness to be based at Merak Plant (Cilegon) and to work extended hours during shutdowns
